Streetcar to the Ferry Building

Take the F Line (Street Cars) down to the end of Market Street to the San Francisco Ferry Building, which is a landmark that’s become a great spot for a quick coffee and pastry, a lunch of crab, oysters on the half shell, Asian, Mexican and more, dinner at Slanted Door (yum, but make reservations well in advance, if possible or have snacks in the lounge or take-out … use Open Table), or just go for a taste of something new or a lot of tastes. Saturday is the big market day, but there’s always something going on; so don’t try to do it all at once, go back often for different things. How about some of the most amazing ice cream you’ve ever tasted at Ciao Bella, or taste some wines at the Wine Merchant, or try some caviar and champagne. Enjoy!

Awesome! I haven’t been in the Ferry Building yet, and have always wondered what’s in there. It appears a lot like our Reading Terminal Market, here in Philadelphia:

They are such charming, scrumptious markets! Great post!
Is that Cowgirl Creamery? Oh what I’d do for just a little of their fresh ricotta or a petit wheel of Redhawk. I miss home sooooooo bad…
Bisous,
