I know San Francisco is liberal, quirky and open minded to the point of indulgent, but this was just too funny for words. I was walking back to the office from the bank and was enjoying the nice sunny day (it’s been the coldest summer we’ve had in 40 years. I know that’s true because I heard it on the radio, and we all know that the media never lies, right? Regardless, it’s been cold, drippy fog, windy and overcast for weeks. (Remember, the best weather here is never the summer … try September, October, November. But I digress.), and while waiting for the light to change, I noticed these two guys on the corner … stark naked, holding a sign to vote for something.
The funny part to me was that nearly everyone just walked by without staring or making a fuss. It’s as if it happens every day.
Being naked isn’t illegal here, but sometimes I think it should be because generally, the ones who get naked are the ones you really don’t want to see naked anyway. Maybe we need a special sub section to that law and make sure only the ones with great bodies can go naked, and I’ll be the judge of that, thank you very much.
I can’t believe the number of people who clicked in to check this out.
If you’re curious about more nakedness here in SF, check out these links:
Bay to Breakers – 99th Annual
If you’re planning to go for the 100th, there are already rumors that there will be no drinking. Bummer. And, no more naked people. Double bummer because this year, there were a lot of great looking naked people. I was pleasantly shocked.
8 minute mini parade video … off the sidelines of Gay Pride
This little parade will give you a rare sampling of every type of person you can imagine … every age, gender, type and orientation. Watch the whole thing. It’s worth it. A friend and I were just waiting to meet other friends, after the parade and a little Champagne. I was sitting on a curb, listening to the music at the stage down the street and just people watching and this is what I caught.
Bay to Breakers – 98th Annual
This was from a different perspective … down at the beginning. Wherever you are, it’s craziness.
Jason Dottley from Sordid Lives get naked on stage … v e r y briefly, but still …
He’s such a cuttie!!!! And he even emailed me about doing this. Crazy.
Special event at the Castro Theater … naked jump roping?
OK, this was just plain silly, but frankly, I love silly and was so glad to see it. Everyone laughed like crazy. I applaud the guy who pulled it off. The real reason we went was to see Carol Linley and John Waters. The whole event was fun.
