From a Street Car to a Street Car
San Francisco Street Cars are fun and practical. They run the length of Market Street from the Castro District down to the Ferry Building and all the way out to Fisherman’s Wharf. I recommend you stop at the Ferry Buiding and skip the Fisherman’s Wharf trip altogether … it’s just become a big touristy place to buy more stuff you don’t need. It’s probably a better choice to visit Chinatown or explore the parts of San Francisco that make this city one of the most unique in the world. Near the Ferry Building is a new exhibit for the Street Cars. Enjoy something different.
I took this shot from inside one of the street cars from Milan, Italy. Remember, ask for a transfer, which is good for other street cars, buses, or the underground Muni system … for two hours. Not bad for $1.50!
