     Emergency seamstress? Call Sara.

Sara is the best. She’s located at 760 Market Street, Ste. 514, phone first: 415/956.6218.
She’ll do hems, repairs or fit a wedding dress. The best part is, she’s just a really nice woman who’s good at what she does and really understands customer service. Her shop isn’t fancy, but her work is great. She also does a lot of work for Bloomingdales, which is just down the street.
    Tell her Randy said HI!

A Hardware Store Thats Just Plain Cool and Downtown!!!
A Hardware Store Thats Just Plain Cool and Downtown!!!
Cole Hardware used to be known as Fox Hardware and is one of the best hardware stores I’ve seen in a while. Why do I think this is quirky? Well, the energy that goes into the window displays is fascinating. Where else would you find safety equipment and maintainence clothing that’s treated with the same respect as the fashion statements at Neiman-Marcus, which is only 3 blocks up the street (on 4th … both are near Market)?

They seem to have everything, and real people who actually want to help you with all your hardware needs. I’m sure you’ll agree that this is unheard of today. This store is one of several in the bay area, but it’s the only one I’ve been to because it’s close to my loft. When we bought downtown, I had the idea that I’d have to drive to the burbs to Home Depot, but with Cole-Fox only 3 blocks away, there’s no driving, parking, etc. Living downtown has it’s moments, like the time I needed a 2×4 about 6′ long. Carrying it down the street past the trade show people visting SF for a convention felt a bit odd, but oh well, that’s what makes SF interesting. People who live here understand. Wait ’till you see what people cart around on our city buses. Never a dull moment.
