Finally, the perfect place to rent a bike for your trip around the bay and across the Golden Gate Bridge. In my FREE eBook (look for the yellow and blue button in the column on the left), you can grab a copy of Bike the Bay in 1/2 a Day, Your Way, which is a document I put together with instructions of how to navigate your way along the Embarcadero, past Pier 39, Fisherman’s Wharf, through the Presidio, over the Golden Gate Bridge, down the big hill into Sausalito and back to San Francisco by ferry. The problem has been that most of the bike rental spots are too far. But now, Bike and Roll (415/229.2000) just opened a spot at 5 Embardacero Center, across from the Ferry Building. It’s right at the best place to start your trek. They offer a variety of bikes and rates … AND, the people there seemed super friendly.
